Branimira Ivanova is based in New Orleans, LA. She is a graduate of the University of Connecticut and the International Academy of Design and Technology. She has been designing costumes for dance companies in Europe and the USA for two decades. Her collaborations with Alejandro Cerrudo began in 2008 and together they have worked on more than 14 creations. Branimira has worked with companies such as Pacific Northwest Ballet, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, Malpaso, Gauthier Dance, Gus Giordano Jazz Dance, Aspen Santa Fe Ballet, Arizona Ballet, Breakbone Dance Company, National Portuguese Ballet and Introdans.

Ivanova is a 2012 Jeff Award Equity Wing recipient for Best Costume Design for Gift Theater's production of Cloud 9, a 2010 Jeff Award nominee for the costume design of Lifeline Theater's productions of Wuthering Heights and 2009, Treasure Island. She is a recipient of Certificate for Excellence in Theatre Design by USITT in 2007. Her work was part of the United States National Exhibit at the Prague Quadrennial World Stage Expo in Prague 2007 . She is also a recipient of Fashion Group International's "Design Your Future Award" and the Driehaus Award for Fashion Excellence both in 2002.

In addition to being a costume designer, she also runs a minimalist contemporary sportswear clothing company HOI Clothing and is an Interpreter of Design and Technical Director at Hogan McLaughlin.
